Our new school name is; Christian Life Learning Center. We will no longer use "Beacon" or "CLST". We now own our school and only use Beacon materials. We belong to a network of Christian Educators
called; CLEN or Christian Life Educators Network.

BIHT700: Jewish Background of the New Testament Ron Cottle

This course deals with the Hebrew-Jewish world into which the Gospel, the Church and the Scriptures came. Influences of the political, religious and social developments of various groups during the first century upon the New Testament are emphasized.

BINT225: Hebrews, The Book of Ian Bond

This course looks at the historical context of the Book of Hebrews; It explores the overwhelming superiority of Christ; it applies to our own lives insights and principles taught in Hebrews.
November 20 - 22, 2008

BINT 555: Book of Acts: The Spirit and the Mission of the Church Jerry Horner

This is a study of the beginnings and expansion of the early Church, with particular attention given to the role of the Holy Spirit and to apostolic ministry.

BIPT350: Courage to Lead Morris Sheets

This is a course on the principles of Kingdom leadership. Attention is given to the development of leaders in the local church.

BIOT530 Song of Solomon, A Study of Louis Goszleth

The Song of Solomon can be studied from various viewpoints. We shall look at it as an allegory describing the love relationship that the Lord desires with us as His bride. We will mainly apply it on an individual basis.

February 5 - 7, 2009

BIOT620 Feasts of the Old Testament Grady McMurtry

This course is a study of the Jewish Holy Days and Feasts. The student will gain a greater appreciation of the Jewish calendar, Jewish catechism and God's plan for man and how we are to approach his presence. Emphasis is placed on the messianic significance of the Feasts of Israel.

This course is designed to help the student gain a basic understanding of the field of Christian apologetics and answer legitimate questions concerning vital areas of Christian doctrine leading to a stronger faith.

BINT 113 The Beatitudes Ron Cottle

This course provides an in-depth study of each of the profound
declarations of our Lord to his disciples in Matthew 5. Each is analyzed for its eternal value to us today.

BIOT542 The Book of Proverbs Charles Gaulden

This course in as in-depth analysis of selected Proverbs. In this course we will study Solomon aphorisms as a guide to practical and successful living that enriches and brings glory to God.

BINT525   The Letters of John  by Ian Bond

This is an in-depth study of the Letters of John, which were written tobelievers who were uncertain about their spiritual status because of an unsettling conflict with the teacher of a false doctrine-Cerinthianism, (first century Gnostic doctrine named after an early proponent, Cerinthus, who held that Jesus and Christ were separate beings), which was a
forerunner of second century Gnosticism.

BIHT640  A Study of Faiths and Religions  by Stanley Fleming

This course provides students with knowledge of world religions through the light of biblical Christianity in order to counteract the lure of religious concepts being offered in the global market place today.  Students will learn to distinguish religious strengths from weaknesses, predict philosophical dilemmas, break down doctrinal components, categorize overlapping precepts and evaluate the overriding motifs of each religion in comparison to the strengths of biblical Christianity.

BIOT561 The Book of Joshua  by Paul Harthern

This course is an exegetical and theological study of the Book of Joshua. It outlines the major episodes in Israel's regaining of their inheritance and discusses principles of victorious Christian living.

BIBT425  Apologetics  by James Burkett

This course is designed to introduce students to Apologetics, that branch of theology that provides and intellectual answer for the truth claims of Christianity.   Attention is given to biblical worldview compared to other worldviews and the historical trust-worthiness  of the Christian Scriptures.   The course focuses on the archeological, manuscript, textual
and literary evidences as well as the four proofs used by the New Testament writers to confirm their message.

January 7 - 9, 2010

BIBT108   Theology: The Nature, Essence and Attributes of God   by Mike Chapman

This course will explore the Christian doctrine of God.   Emphasis will be placed on an apology for God's existence, the biblical description of his nature and divine essence.   The divine Trinity will be discussed as well as the biblical names of God and the unique works of God as outlined for us in Scripture.
February 4 - 6, 2010

BICC303   The Road to Restoration  by Carol Fallow

This is a study of grief.   It examines its causes and effects with a goal of gaining a greater understanding of God's plan for restoring broken lives.   It aims to bring the student to a greater understanding of the grief process.

BIPT589     Theology of Serving  by David Baldwin

This course is a strategy for lay ministry development in the local church.   It explores service from several perspectives: Law of service, service revolution in America, ten biblical concepts, servant leadership, the heart of healthy church and "The New Reformation."   It identifies every member as a minister and the fivefold ministry as equippers and trainers.   This course provides insightful instructions on how to create
a climate for serving.   It is based on Nehemiah's rebuilding of Old Jerusalem and pinpoints ten specific areas of service in the local church. Students will view the big picture of ministry and discover their own personal passion for serving.
April 8 - 10, 2010

BIPT600     Receiving Divine Revelation  by Fuchsia Pickett

This course teaches students to invite the Holy Spirit to teach and guide them through Scripture.   Topics include the basis of true revelation, the process of revelation, hearing God's voice, hindrances and helps to receiving revelation.
May 6 - 8, 2010

BICC510   Experience Father's Embrace   by Jack Frost

This course is designed to lead you deeply into Father's presence where you can receive the very thing you've been crying out for your entire life-an experience in Father's  loving embrace and a restoration of childlike innocence and intimacy.
